New Stadium Progress
I went to the ground this week and had a look at the
situation..... It seems there are demolition works being in effect, in
that along the High Street from WHL traffic lights from the N17 Business
centre there are blue boarding, the old petrol station / Spurs shop,
and buildings on Paxton Road corner is boarded up.
Then
the other side along to the old Rudolph`s (still intact) is coming
down. Going along, the old listed buildings still there!! and we have
the Spurs shop on the corner. Around the back, by the (players car park)
Paxton Road, the houses at the end Worcester Road are coming down.
Actually there is quite a lot of demo work behind this as well.
Walking
along Northumberland Park Road to the High Road there is again blue
boarding and site clearance going back to Paxton Road. So as I
suspected, there is progress, and in my opinion this is to comply with
the Planning Consent for NPD, as now there is 3 years time scale to
start work/ complete or re-application for consent, (used to be 5 years)
which means more fees for council etc...
have taken a few photos for you all to see. COYS.
