Talking of tonights game peeps Arnie has put forward a suggestion for a sticky thread to be put up for posters to be able to discuss games (any games) while they are being played. There is a thread in the "Suggestions For Forum" section about this. If posters feel this is a good & worthwhile idea please go to the thread and post your support or alternative suggestions so that Admin & mods can sort out if support is great enough. As Arnie has said this is something that happens in other forums and could well be a welcome addition to this board. Thanx guys . . .. .

why does everyone hate joey barton. the guy says it how it is. he said that hes not going to let the player dive for a pen. they worked hard for a point then to have somone dive to try con the ref. .

Barton v Goons was hillarious ....
Blackburns Kean is where the clever money is, for being the first manager to get the boot...
Liverpool were okay first half versus Sunderland but then seemed to go into a shell ....That anfield atmosphere is so poo poo..
Swansea tonight versus Citeh , played some pretty stuff without threatning to much and I see a long hard season for them too ...
Citeh have Aguero and Silva, along with Yaya Toure will challenge the Chavs & ManUre... The argentinean looked a class above all their other strikers when he came on ...
Chavs came up against a parked bus and a brick wall called Stoke City and Woodgate ....
The team with the white shirt and the navy chicken badge, i.e. the best team in the premeirship, has now got a game in hand thanks to our nation's yob culture..

Re: Start to the season
1st half qpr where the better team. adeal had some decent shots but they couldnt score then botlon get a goal in 1st half stoppage time then secound half heads go down and bolton grew in confdence,.
.
as for man c they played swansea. aguero was brought on at 2 0 up aganst swansea who where chasing the game.
its what harry never does, he hardly ever brings on defoe or lennon or bale when we or in front with 20 mins to go.
harry brings on a midfeilder or crouch

QPR were reasonable for 20 minutes with Taarabt having a couple of shots. The shots were nothing to write home about.
For the remaining 70 minutes he was a passenger, at times I couldn't find him in the shot when I was looking for him specifically, and this whilst the play was through midfield.
Warnock, I fear, has made a rod for his own back there. By making Taarabt the focal point for QPR, it meant that he controlled games in the Championship against lesser teams. When he's unable to control games against better teams, I fear we'll see his petulance take hold and that will have a hugely detrimental effect on his team. particularly as he's their Captain.
Taarabt is hugely talented but he's years off being mature enough to realise his full potential.

Loughtonlegend wrote:he needs fergie. Fergie did wonders for ronaldo. anyway only 1 game so far and hes in an averge team. he carried them on hes own in some games last season.
Should tell you a story that then Lought. SAF did do wonders for Ronaldo, he did the same for Giggs when he was a youngster. SAF doesn't shy away from precocious talent, yet he's shown not one iota of interest in Taarabt. Why is that?
In a day and age when hugely talented midfielders fetch prices in the region of 40-50 million, you'd think he'd see Adel as worth a punt. Buy for 10 mill, work on him for a couple of seasons and, Hey Presto, you have a 50 million mdfielder that Real Madrid would pay through the nose for.
What about 'Man who sucks Lemons?' Constantly searching for young talent, will take them on at 16, if he sees enough talent, and will play them early too. Taarabt even sent out a 'come and get me' to them when he had his outburst. But 'MWSL' hasn't even made an enquiry. Why?
I don't think it's because his talent is overrated and both have dealt with 'problem' players too. The only thing I can see is that he takes 'problem player' to new heights that overshadow the possible, and I stress the possible, benefits from his talent.
Football is a small World and it seems to me that the word has got out about Taarabt. I'm putting two and two together here, granted, but I really can't see anything else fitting the logic of the situation. Even Bentley has had more enquiries!

fergie makes mistakes aswell. plus he has enough attacking players like nani and valencia. i think the latter is overated though.
i think adel problem is he showboats to much. if he can learn when to do the tricks and went to pass then he wil be up there with the best of them. the guy can spot a pass. he has vision but he still plays like hes a kid.
did you see the free kick he scored for qpr last season where he curled it round the wall.
anyway after warnock turning down bids for him i hope he sticks with adel and we see the best of him.

Re: Start to the season
by Ian Cooper
With 80 goals in 163 appearances for QPR, Les Ferdinand MBE knows exactly what is required to perform at football’s top level.
In almost a decade at Loftus Road, Ferdinand played under four different managers, scoring 20 goals in the inaugural Premier League season in 1992-93, 16 goals the following season, and 24 in 1994-95.
In the 16 years since Ferdinand left west London to join Newcastle United, few players have captured the fans’ imagination and admiration in quite the same way as their coveted striker did.
But Adel Taarabt was one such player last season. His 19 goals in the Championship after joining from one of Ferdinand’s other clubs, Tottenham Hotspur, had Rs fans positively salivating at the prospect of their captain dancing through Premier League defences.
Ferdinand though, is not convinced. Question marks have long hung over the Moroccan international’s temperament, particularly when he loses possession, and after a tepid display against Bolton on Saturday, which drew groans from the Loftus Road crowd on several occasions, Taarabt still has plenty to prove.
Savage
“Last season, QPR based a lot of their play around Adel Taarabt, but I remember watching them at Derby last season and Robbie Savage did a real number on him,” recalls Ferdinand, now a coach at Tottenham.
“Robbie’s job that day was to man-mark Adel, and I think that showed up Adel’s immaturity. Rather than moving the ball a bit quicker, Taarabt tried to take Robbie on and prove that he was a better player – and he failed.
“I’d like to think that he’s learnt from that this season, because QPR will need more from him.”
Taarabt’s troubles were symptomatic of Rangers’ struggles against Bolton, with many tipping the Rs to spend the season battling relegation, and Ferdinand agrees with that assessment.
“It’s going to be a tough season for QPR, increasingly now we’re seeing a lot of teams struggling down near the bottom of the table and unfortunately I think QPR will be in that conundrum this season,” adds Ferdinand.
“There seems to have been some turmoil behind the scenes, when the owners came in QPR were suddenly one of the richest clubs in the world.
“But the owners were never going to throw money at the club, they’re calculated and want to spend wisely. I can understand that to a degree, but I would have liked to have seen more from them.”

About 2 seasons ago wasn't it?
the bookies and pundits home banker today for the toffes.
More fool them. Everton always start slow.
my boy played the whole 90 mins.
He was on the pitch for 90 minutes .............. And was a passenger again. Seriously Lought, QPR won in spite of him, not because of him, he was anonymous for long periods of the game against an extremely ordinary Everton. Having said that, Everton could, and should, have won that game. The one contribution of note I saw Taarabt make was, in the dying minutes, bringing down Cahill for a freekick just outside the box. Had Fellaini headed the cross with more conviction it could have cost QPR big time.
1st 20 mins all everton as they searched for the early goal but it didnt come then qpr came into the game more and scored on 30 mins,
Come on mate, tell it like it is. QPR nicked a goal, during a 5 minute period of marginal dominance, then survived for the rest of the game. Howard was a spectator for the vast majority of the game.
so i clean sheet without there defensive midfielder. neils team have not got some points, onwards and upwards
Yep, well done to them and, hopefully, it'll give them a lift and help them to go on to string some results together. But don't bank on it. They really do look like they are extremely frail, the amount of space that can be found through midfield against them tells me that they are going to have their asses handed to them on more than a few occasions. Bolton weren't the anomoly here, QPR really do look that poor in the Prem.
They're my favourites to go down and I think they'll go down hard.
