I enjoyed that and no one could accuse the Senegalese of lacking in a willingness to put the boot in

I don't think we are going to win it with the team we have got. I don't know about you Nic but they don't fill me with confidence.

Looking at the Brazilians, the Uruguyans, even the Japanese we seems miles away from them in terms of quality - However if we can get out of the group and begin to get a bit more confidence then who knows

At the very best I guess a semi final place

( I have tickets for Cardiff next Wednesday so fingers crossed it is the game that will confirm our place in the QFs)

Good performance tonight from the Brits although it was a bit sticky at 1-1

Fair to Pearce though - made the substitutions and they worked

Oi Meldrew - Sordell was playing well when he was hooked at HT I thought

And taking your goalscorer, senior player and captain off to replace him with Sinclair is so OBVIOUS

You ever thought of managing ?

With your amazing ability to predict the future after it has happened Lought I was a bit surprised that you were not moaning about Bale backing out of the GB squad

It was obvious Charlie Adam was going to do monkey boy next time they met

You see that don't you ?

Good to see Bale has had his ears fixed though

    Another obvious move

    Opening ceremony?
What a load of old tosh.
That Danny Boyle is past it. Kes? A film about avian raptors on crystal meth? Pah. He should try making a film about Scottish herion addicts. Wouldn't be up to it though would he?
What was all that NHS malarky about? Loads of kids in big beds? Pedo's paradise thats what!
String the b*stard up I say and all his pinko, commie, faggot friends as well.
Waste of bloody money that could be spent on important stuff like nurses and stuff like new stuff and good stuff and better stuff as well . . . .

i have to say i liked the opening ceremony. well most of it
i loved the music aswell the only thing i didnt like was
artic monkeys. i mean wtf that just seemed out of place and then at then end paul mcartney singing the only beatles song he seesm to remember. hey bloody jude for 100time.

but then i also read that the new goverment wernt to keen on the olympics and most of this was planned 5 years ago thats why we had artic monkeys and dizzy raskel and the nhs which outside the uk nobody heard of

back to bale. i dont blame him for pulling out. do you think jack wheelchair would of played..
as for charlie adams thats 3 times hes now gone out to get him..

Personally I thought the opening ceremony was spot on. mainly because it upset some tory who thought it was too left wing. More power to Danny Boyle I say. A fantastic opening ceremony that took us through Britain through the ages. A masterpiece from my point of view.

Seems to me poor old Gareth will have one eye over each shoulder next time he steps onto a pitch with Adam - which is after all why the wee Scots git is doing it

Funny thing is neither time he has been done has Adam picked up even a card

Prob why he keeps doing it, have to say this one is nowhere near as bad as the one when he was a Tangerine, that was disgraceful, this one was just cynical.

A fine display by our brave lads last night and some very good performances from young British players, particularly Ramsay, Cleverly and Allen who mastered midfield for most of the game.

Good defensive effort as well to keep Suarez and Cavani at bay and finally Butland - what a great prospect he is - surely too good form Brum ?

Very good performance Nic. I agree about young Butland, he does look a great prospect.
