Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is still interested in Shakhtar Donetsk's attacking midfielder Willian, 24. The Spurs boss also likes Willian's fellow Brazilian Leandro Damiao - the 23-year-old striker plays for Internacional. Both players were linked with moves to White Hart Lane last summer.

Can't see either of those happening. Shaktar still in champions league so would they let any players go and in both cases I think the price would be too rich for us.

In fact their prices are not to high by to days standards.
In the summer we could have had Willem for £17 mil and Damioa for £20. But as usual Levy tried to get them on the cheap and missed out again. The same will happen this month of that I am sure.

We need a top striker desperatly and we need him now.
The mercenary is probably going to the African Nations although he wont' be missed the way he's playing now he's got his dough.

It's a good idea to get rid of some of the dead wood and very fringe players to raise funds. However it should have been started a couple of months ago not with a couple of weeks left and no time to buy.

I'm a bit meh on Benteke really on what I have seen of him to date.

Hard to judge though with what he has, and has had, around him.

Having said all that, the latest it I've seen has us being more likely to bring in Negredo or Hooper. Not really seen that much of either so hard to comment, other than both have decent stats.

Not really impressed with Bentake on what I have seen so far.
Negredo is a prolific scorer in the Spanish league and if I'm not mistaken there was talk of him coming about a couple of years ago and some one on here put up vid of his goals and he looked great. He would be an excellent choice but it doesn't look like AVB or Levy are up for spending at the moment.

If it's so then it will be a big mistake as todays game at leeds showed we need a striker NOW !!!

same old story im afraid, just when we have the chance to push on and go the extra mile with a class signing, they drag their heels until its to late and the opportunity has gone,were doing so well , get someone in to get us those goals to take us to the next level before our class players want to go elsewhere to find it as well, cmon levy we deserve better.

what about darren bent on loan.
he scores loads of goals. hes more natural goalscorer then defoe.
loves scoring aganst the big teams and can play up front on hes own.

we dont have a poacher someone to get on the end of croses
