As many of you are aware the Rev. John Ripsher is the founder of our beautiful team. There is much history around him and the founding of the club. A few years ago it was discovered he was buried in a paupers grave in Dover, Kent. When this was discovered the club had a special headstone made and done the decent thing by the gentleman.
My wife is a Dovorian and so we done some homework found the cemetary and visited the good Reverends grave earlier this summer. I left an old Spurs shirt by the headstone on behalf of the Forum and Spurs fans everywhere. Some pictures & links to follow . . . .

I love the history of the club Vis and thank you for posting about the Rev John Ripsher. A rep from me. Someone else I believe deserves recognition for there part in our history is John Cameron who was our first and only player manager. He lead us to the Southern League title in 1899-1900, and then the following season, 1900-01 he lead us to our first ever FA Cup victory which was against Sheffield United while we were playing in the Southern League back in 1900-01, the first and only non league club to win the FA Cup. John Cameron played in the final and also scored in our 3-1 victory. Our centre forward in the 1900-01 season was Alexander Brown who scored in every round of the FA Cup with a total of 15 goals which as far as I know remains a record to this day. Then there was Peter McWilliam who guided us back into the First Division after leading us  to the Division Two title in 1919-20 followed by a 1-0 FA Cup victory over Wolves the following 1920-21 season. There have been many others, players and managers that have played such a big part in the history of Tottenham Hotspur, people will say it's all in the past, just history, but in my eyes the managers I have mentioned, and John Ripsher were the cornerstone of our club.
