Christian Eriksen: Tottenham sign Ajax midfielder

Tottenham have signed midfielder Christian Eriksen from Dutch champions Ajax for £11.5m.

The Denmark international, 21, has played 161 games for Ajax and scored 32 goals since joining in 2008.

The club revealed on Twitter:  "We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Christian Eriksen."

He joins the club on the same day as Romanian defender Vlad Chiriches, 23, and Argentina striker Erik Lamela, 21.

He had 133 assists last season and Lamela has a good assist record. We now have the ammunition for Soldado and Paulinho running from deep, serious wallop in Midfield and a strong defence. Rose in my opinion can develope into a fantastic left back, he may not be tall, but his no shorter then Baines or Ashley Cole, but is tenacious, very quick and gives everything. We also have Jan, Naughton and Chiriches can play there too.
