Dembele claims the White Hart Lane pitchis partly to blame for Spurs lack of goals at home. The pitch is 100 metres long by 67 metres wide, and only Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Stoke have smaller pitches. The majority of premiership pitches are 105 metres long by 68 metres wide. He states that the dimensions of the pitch are restricting the team. Some teams come here and make a block, we don't have a big pitch so it's even more difficult, if we have more space it's easier for us. We have spoken about how teams are playing like this against us, but it's not only us, these kind of teams do it against all top sides. It's easier for us when teams try to attack us. it was lie that last season in games like this, we hardly ever win them comfortably.
I can only assume by block Dembele means shut up shop in the hope of making a break and grabbing a goal. He made the statement after the Hull City game. Grounds for thought, Lol

crazy that he blames the pitch.
its not changed. other spurs teams with less abilty have had no problem scoring goals.

im sure if we went 442 at home and dropped dembele and played erikson we would score more goals.

Didn't stop Bale from marauding down the wing. Or Ginola. He should stop looking for excuses.

its up to the wingers to stay out wide and stop cutting in .

long as you pass ball quicker stop teams getting back into postions it dont matter how big a pitch is.

it dont help with dembele holding on to the ball too long.

he should know what hes going to do with the ball before he receives the ball.

That's the thing Baz, Bale and Ginola had that touch of genius that bit of magic that can turn games. It's what we don't have at the moment. I think we really miss Bale more than we missed Modric the season before.

I agree LLR. I said in a post Re the Sheriff match, the times Lennon gets the ball and instead of going down the wing and getting in a cross, he cut's inside to an already congested middle of the pitch. As Baz and Mikey have said, Bale and Ginola did it, and others before them. I can not see no matter what style of play we use why a player cant go down the wing and get in a cross, it's always through the middle trying these quick one two's with each other then it gets so tight they can't get a pass out to the wing, or the opposition regain control of play.
