We're being outplayed in all departments and still don't know where the goal is.

Our passing is poor but Newcastle are far more direct and look like scoring everytime they break.

    Soldado to slow thinking.

dawson cant play the high line.
towsend should be on the left. all he does is shoot.
dembele . dont know what he does. he cant put a killer ball. i guess he defends okay.

put towsend on left and bring on lamela on the right and take of dembele and siggy

We don't need Sandro another defensive MF we need more creativity somebody who can turn a game. I would rather lose another goal but have a real go than play like the first half and lose 1-0.

I wish we could give the 110mil and the players back and have Bale back. We don't have a player that can turn a game like he could. We wouldn't have lost the 3 home games as he would have been good for at least a couple of goals, something we can't get at the moment.

took 11 games to finally know what we all new that its clearly not working for some reason .

the reason being avb style dont suit the players . was we unlucky second half or was it just bad finishing !

our pressing game as gone !!!! no urgency no movement no overlapping runs - only by walker.

avb love for dawson is cringeworthy. taking vlad off before daws is mindboggling.

mayb its the europa taking its toil yet again ............

when we dont get the pts our stlye really gets MIGNIFIED.........with no were to hide.........Sad Sad Sad Sad

Tim Krul made a string of outstanding stops to deny Tottenham against Newcastle, who took all three points thanks to Loic Remy's early strike.

The Dutch goalkeeper made 14 saves in total at White Hart Lane - the most by any goalkeeper in the Premier League this season.

Newcastle created few chances, but unlike Spurs they took one when Remy slotted in from Yoan Gouffran's pass.

How Tottenham failed to score at White Hart Lane will be part of Andre Villas-Boas's port-mortem, although he will no doubt praise Newcastle's keeper, who produced one of the best performances of this Premier League season.

Krul showed the sort of form that helped Newcastle finish fifth two seasons ago, blocking Spurs' efforts with almost every part of his body.

The Netherlands international showed great elasticity to tip over Roberto Soldado's flicked header before pushing over Paulinho's effort that was bound for the top corner in the first half.

Krul was then twice called into action after the restart, making two saves with an outstretched boot - the first, to block Christian Eriksen's point-blank shot before repeating the trick to prevent Gylfi Sigurdsson's free-kick from creeping in. Younes Kaboul followed up, but he was thwarted by a tremendous block on the line by defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa.

And moments later, Krul dived low to save Andros Townsend's low firm angled drive.

Tottenham continued to pile on the pressure in the closing stages and when it was not Krul, it was the bar that came to the rescue for Newcastle when Jan Vertonghen's header crashed off the frame.

In total, Spurs had 31 shots to Newcastle's eight - although the Magpies scored with one of their four on target.

That goal came in the 13th minute when Yoan Gouffran and Loic Remy, who both scored in the 2-0 win over Chelsea last week, combined brilliantly.

Gouffran, a £500,000 January signing from Bordeaux, is proving to be a key player in Newcastle's midfield. He chased down Brazilian Paulinho before threading a pass through for Remy, who took the ball around Friedel and slotted in for his seventh goal in his last seven league appearances.

Remy should have scored moments earlier when fellow France international Yohan Cabaye played him in with a delightful ball with the outside of the boot, but just as the striker was about to shoot, in came Vlad Chiriches with a brilliantly-timed tackle.

That is now two successive victories for Alan Pardew over London sides, while his counterpart Villas-Boas will be rueing having missed a golden chance to close the gap on north London rivals and league leaders Arsenal.

    FROM JIM

First half,,,,,,,,,,,we were woeful, every man jack of them. But we've been playing negative footy like that to much lately for it to be any thing other than a Tactic by AVB so not happy there.
Friedel had a dodgy moment from the off juggling the ball and the old nerves of past seasons spread through the defence like wild fire.
Second half upped the pace and dominated but still never really looked like scoring. Yes Krul made some good saves, but Eriksen should never have let the Keeper get any where near his effort. Townsend was a F*&^^^G waste of space and he needs a break. Over playing wrong decisions and just hogging the ball till losing it. Defoe should never have come on Lennon or Lamela should.
So all in all while we did much better second half, but our dismal display first half was the reason we lost and then you have to give credit where it's due to Newcastle's defending and the agility of Krul.
So I hold my hands up absolutely gutted!

Very annoying yes I agree with most what has been said, AVB is out of his depth making wrong decisions.  Why play such a strong team against Sherrif? Why Ndebele and not Sandro, Ndebele  is too slow, negative, no clue and kept on losing the ball all the time and yes Townsend kept on cutting in to have a shot instead of passing thinking he is Bale. Yes we made Krull look like a world beater, however he should not have been near to save shots from Erkson or Paullimo imagine Defoe or Van Parse in that position.

This is wake up time we have to collect at 4 points against Man City and Man Utd or  at least notb lose against either of them otherwise good bye to Top 4 and that will be possibly good but to AVB. Yes he should swallow his pride and bring back Adebayo and even include Kane in his squad
