    when arron lennon got a new contract i was thinking why ? fast yes cant cross, and never really a game changer. sterling at pool is miles better .

    He's never been a great crosser of a ball although he has had his moments.

    There was a period when redknapp was here that he had two good seasons when we were playing quick clever football and he frightened defenders with his pace. I remember him giving Cole and Evra the run around a few times. At that time I believe Liverpool made a bid of 20 mil for him.

    The trouble is he hasn't improved, in fact if he could get back to those better days then he would be a real asset to the team but I don't see it happening.
