Re: Rest of Season Match Threads
but saying that they sorted themselfs out and we should of been level at half time.
ade missed a pen. rose missed an open goal althought was not an easy chance and then kane should of scored.
if they game had gone on a bit longer then im convinced we would of won the game.
the ref was good and made up for there timewasting by adding 6 mins injury time and he should of given them a pen.
i was reading on other forums people convinced we would win all our remaining games but was obvious we would slip up somewhere

Re: Rest of Season Match Threads
However, Roberto Soldado, Etienne Capoue, Jan Vertonghen, Kyle Walker, Michael Dawson and Erik Lamela remain unavailable because of injury.
Fulham's in-form loanee Lewis Holtby is ineligible to face his parent club on Saturday.
Club record signing Kostas Mitroglou has an ongoing knee injury and is the only other confirmed absentee.
Fulham's 30 points this season have been won evenly between their three managers, and the stats would suggest that in Felix Magath they have made a good appointment - though they might have made it too late.
Fulham's first 10 points were amassed in 13 games under Martin Jol, and their next 10 with Rene Meulensteen in charge also came in 13 matches. But the last 10 points have come in just eight games with Magath at the helm.
The tag of "Europe's last dictator " has stuck to Magath since it was coined by former Eintracht Frankfurt striker Bachirou Salou over a decade ago, but his methods look to be working.
Having won back-to-back games for only the second time this season, Fulham can travel to Tottenham with some hope of making it three wins on the spin, something they last achieved more than two years ago.
After Spurs, Fulham's last three games are against Hull, Stoke, and Crystal Palace - two wins and two draws would probably keep them safe.
If they do stay up it will add to Magath's already well-established reputation as a man to fight fires. It would be as impressive an escape as the one orchestrated by Roy Hodgson in 2008 when the Cottagers' won four of their last five to avoid the trap-door.
Spurs' run-in gives them the opportunity to finish a turbulent season in a positive frame of mind.
Games against Stoke, West Ham and Aston Villa follow the Fulham clash and their aim now must be to hold off Manchester United and to finish in the top six. That should allow them entry to the Europa League, though at such an early stage that they could be playing in some far-flung outpost of Europe just five days after the last game of their pre-season tour in America.
Whether that's a problem for manager Tim Sherwood or somebody else remains to be seen.

Re: Rest of Season Match Threads
We were poor again. Losing the ball to often not a lot of idea going forward.
It's a shame that our two best players LLoris and Eriksen look like leaving in the summer. They have been the only successes of the newbys the rest can leave and we wouldn't notice any difference.
If the stories that Paulinio could be going to Chelsea they are welcome to him he is very overated in my opinion and not the class brazilian player I thought he was.
I'm with you can't wait for the season to end, it's been the worst for a long time and the club have work to do to get a lot of players out and some class in ready for next season. But to be honest I don't have a lot of faith in the top brass getting it right any time soon.

Re: Rest of Season Match Threads
Midfielder Etienne Capoue is back in contention for Spurs but defender Jan Vertonghen is not ready to return.
Younes Kaboul is suspended with Kyle Walker, Erik Lamela, Andros Townsend, Nacer Chadli and Mousa Dembele all still sidelined.
Villa have a host of injuries, with Christian Benteke, Charles N'Zogbia, Libor Kozak and Jores Okore all absent.
Gabriel Agbonlahor should make the squad after recovering from injury, but Marc Albrighton remains a doubt.
MATCH PREVIEW
The significance of this match is that Tottenham need just one more point to qualify for next season's Europa League. The only way Spurs can fail to get into Europe is if they lose and Manchester United win at Southampton.
There is an incentive, therefore, for manager Tim Sherwood, whose future is, to say the least, clouded by rumours regarding possible successors. No decision has yet been made and Sherwood is still in situ, but it is understood he is supposed to meet chairman Daniel Levy at the end of the campaign.
Will Sherwood stay in charge or remain at the club in a different capacity, or will he will be squeezed out by a new regime? No-one really knows. The season needs to end before the chairman can sit down with the manager.
Things are coming to a head for Aston Villa off the pitch - will the chairman Randy Lerner make a statement soon about the future of the club? There have been strong rumours that he is going to sell up, but we will have to wait and see.
By their standards, with what they expect to achieve, Villa have been very disappointing for the last three years. The manager, Paul Lambert, has soldiered on with some quite inexperienced players and hasn't really been able to push the boat out and make major signings. Maybe he hasn't wanted to, or maybe he hasn't had access to the funds. But Villa need to look now to be a bit more ambitious in who they buy.
Villa have been very poor at home all season, but curiously they have played very well at times on the counter-attack away from home. That might come into play in this fixture.
This is a game where both teams are trying to end the season on a high. They will both want their supporters to go home happy. But I think Spurs' incentive of getting into Europe will just give them the edge.
