    Club captain

Poch is going to name the new club captain next week and I wonder if, apart from the kudos, it really means anythig in todays game. Years ago the captain could make changes on the field and try to influence the game but now the only thing they do is represent the team in arguing with referees.

Having said that I would choose Lloris

I would say Lloris as well Seebee but I have always had doubts about 'keeper Cap'ns. Big V if his heart is back with the club or, surprisingly you will feel me saying this, Adabadbigtoe would be other candidates. You need a 1st team regular with the right attitude & experience and although I have often questioned Adabadbigtoes attitude these are the only 3 players in the current squad who could claim the regular playing spot & experience levels needed . . . . .
