    It seems to be generally accepted that we do need a central defender, which begs the question why not Stephen Caulker? Reports had it that we had first refusal so what happened?

    I don't know why we let him go in the first place. He had got in the England squad, was young and had great potential and it's not as if we had a riches of top CD.

    To late now as he's a Harry player now and is forming a formidable duo with Ferdinand, providing ha stays injury free that is. To be honest I would settle for those two in the middle of our defence this season.

    It's the same with Remy we could have had him for 8.5 mil very cheap for a top striker.

    Caulker has gone to QPR & rumour is Chirches is off to Roma. Tottenham transfer policy in operation yet again . . . . . .
