World cup thread Empty World cup thread

Post by Guest Thu Jul 15 2010, 08:32

I appreciate that the world cup is finished, and that you stated that you were going to remove that sub forum soon, but there was an active thread that people were still contributing to.
So for closing AND removing it I say you were wrong.
    You should have moved it.
Having had a 13 hour power cut today I've just got on line and haven't seen any further additions that there might have been.

Mark people were warned yesterday that the thread was being "put to bed". If you have issues remaining about any subject post them in the relevant catergory . . . . . .
(and in future pay your lecky bill World cup thread 348204 )

Just to re-iterate what Vis has posted
Mark. We warned yesterday that the World cup thread was going to be terminated and it has been. We cannot be held responsible for any problems you have encountered.

A major contributor to this forum is away and hasn't had the chance to catch up on the post cup talk, I think it's wrong for the sub forum to have been removed so hastily. I don't see what the rush is.
Unless there's a feeling that an awkward subject arose and that sweeping it under the carpet was the safest bet.

It was nothing to do with any comments being swept under the carpet Mark. If we felt a comment was out of order it would have been deleted. I dare say there are a few people away on holiday but what can you do? A decision was made and the thread was removed to make way for a new thread.

Oh well everyone's happy now that some water has passed under the bridge and a slightly awkward subject has been avoided and from being scutinised more fully.

Perhaps i'll mention the song that rhymes with "signing the blues" later on and everyone can fall about laughing at the 'banter' of it all.
