Andy Murray got through fairly comfortably I thought albeit he stuttered a bit in the first set and now Nadal has retired through injury he must have a real chance of reaching the final. Federer of course remains the favourite. Does Andy have a chance do you think or will Federer win it again? Wimbledon. Icon_sad

Murray should be full of confidence with the way he has been playing Baz. I'd put a bet on Murray getting to the final and winning it!!

You're confident DJ. I still think in the end Federer will have too much for Murray. Maybe next year for Murray. Mind you sin't that what we kept saying about Henman Wimbledon. Lol

Tbh Baz, I was hoping the sweaty got knocked out, ever since he got asked who he'd like to win a tournament (cant remember which one) and he replied "anyone except England" , I dont have any time for him, I think he made out afterwards that he was joking, judging by his interviews, he dont do funny!!

Don't take much notice of that myself Dave. He is a young lad and his views will change as he gets older. He is friends with Henman so he can't think we are all that bad lol and I think he realises without the backing of the Centre Court crowd he won't be winning anything.

I'm with Dave i can't wait for the twat to get knocked out. I remember that comment he said the sooner England are out the better as i'm a real Scot. He's laughing at us English that are hanging onto the British Tag coattails.

That way of thinking will not change with age Baz he sees himself as a proper Scot & that means hating England.

But to be honest i hate Tennis any way. I doubt i'd even watch it if the Women played it NAKED lol.

I will still support him because he's British but I don't support the Scots/English/Irish/Welsh hate thing its all a load of Bollox. The Scots the Irish and the Welsh particularly have reason to hate the English if you go back far enough but that was a long time ago and has nothing to do with me personally and thats always my argument. What has it got to do with ME what happened years ago? And do you know what? No one can give me an answer. Thats why I take no notice of all that crap.Like it or not we are all British including Mr Murray. I hope he wins.Simply because I will not become a part of all that hate thing.

You hope he wins & i'll hope he loses it's him that started this with his comments about England. But don't bring the Irish & Welsh into this it's the Scots they hate us & always have & love to laugh at all our failures. You don't have to buy into any hate thing Baz & if you want him to win that's up to you.

But i can guarantee that when he does he'll say that for Scotland,,,,,,,,, not a mention of Britain Mate.

Add that to the arrogant comments he made about the rest of the English/British players he made & he's aces isn't he.

Thats fair enough Jim. I wasn't having a go. Just putting the point how I feel personally about the British. thing.Life is too short mate. Not all the Scots hate the English anyway, after all my partner is Scottish lol. Her family are all nice people and several of them married English people.I go to her home town with her regularly and have never encountered a problem there. However in Wales I have had a couple of problems because I am English but hey, its water off a ducks back. I get on with most people where I live which is in a Welsh spoken community but there are some who will never take to an Englishman, thats just the way it is. I don't let it bother me otherwise I could be arguing everyday. There is a saying I heard once and I use it on occasion. Some will, some won't, so what?

Thats what this forum is about, healthy debate amongst adults, the aol Spurs board got out of hand because the kids (and some adults) couldnt take the criticism and resorted to name calling. Well done you two for getting your points across, btw Baz I still want him to lose!!

I love good debate Dave and I know Jim does too and as you say there is no need for nastiness. As long as its done in an adult way it is ok. What a boring World if we all had the same point of view. By the way I still want him to win so there tongue 2 lol!

I love a good debate as well,,,,,,,,,,,,, especially a maths debate lol.

Only one person has ever drawn me in & we all know who that is lol

As for Murry i can't stand him for his comments,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but i'd never label all Scotish the same. But i really did get close to it when the little lad in a Scotish Park was punched by an Adult for wearing an England top. But every Nation has there idiots.

As for the Welsh my Mums Welsh from Merthyr Tydvil,,,, so i'm just lucky i'm adopted lol.

Through to the next round. He was awsome, he ought to be renamed Murrycane. He blew his opponent away. 5 unforced errors all match is all Andy Murray gave away. He had power, Speed and Accuracy the accuracy of some shots was bordering on psychic. He is beginning to look the real deal but I still don't think this will be his year.
