a bridge too far

It is always a problem at this point in the season when the Premiership is already decided. Contrast this season to the finish last season, which do you enjoy the most? A close PL finish or an anodine sterile game the like of which was played out on Sunday? They said that Cheslea would implode, they told us that their Fixture congestion would take its toll! Yet here we are, Chelsea cruising through every game without even a bruising.

And so Wednesday gets ever closer and we face a match that is without doubt our cup final, our season defining game, the one match that no one deep down sees us winning but, just for once, wants to see some luck run our way. From Lasagne Gate to getting fourth and still finishing in the Europa League the Indian Eye always seems to sit above Tottenham Hostpur football club.

We can do this, we really can. We beat Manchester United at Old Trafford, we beat Arsenal when they were roaring and we beat a £126m Manchester Ciy side at White Hart Lane. We perform better away fron home than almost everyone in the PL. Bale alone has scored more away goals than Stoke this season! We are sweating on Dembele that is true. Lennon may be a doubt. But, we have a job to do and everyone knows it.

Their three Amigo's will boss the midlfield, we may not be able to score from as many positions as Chelski can, including David Luiz from the back, but Chelsea can be beaten. It just takes belief. I reckon the left hand side is their weakness and if AVB playes Bale out wide we have a chance. For 6.5 minutes against Manchester City we proved we can be world class.

On Wednesday night we have to come of age as a club and we have to show the supporters that we are good enough for the CL. Scum could drop points against Wigan they could even lose against the Toons but that's not in our hands, this game is. A point will do but 3 points will prove our credentials. AVB has promised a spending spree in the summer win or lose 4th place but who wants to come and play in a club that isn't in the CL and who wants a club that is? So how do we do it bretheren? How do we beat Chelski at the Bridge or is this really a Bridge too far for us?

we were all saying that after 65 minutes against Citeh, Cheatski have either played relegation fodder or mid-table teams that had nothing to play for and they hardly smashed any of them, then Manure put out less than half a team and they took until the 86th minute to score a deflected
goal. If we put them under enough pressure we can beat them.

Wish I had your confidence Dave but it's all been drained out of me once again this season.
