NORWICH,,, (My Take) Empty NORWICH,,, (My Take)

Post by SuneJim Mon Sep 16 2013, 21:19

After giving myself a couple days to digest the display against Norwich. I was impressed to be honest. We totally dominated the game and played some really good football. The best part for me being it was done without Bale and Lennon, without whom we looked toothless at times last season.
We looked like a proper team, with quick, crisp passing and sharp movement, moving the ball at speed made up for a lack of pace, a little. Have to say I think Eriksen had a lot to do with that, he's the link between midfield and the striker we've missed. I noticed Soldado was a more involved as a result as well.
Paulinho and Dembele moved the ball round with accuracy as well.
But I have to say Townsend and Rose we're very impressive as well giving width and pace down the flanks. Dawson & Vertonghen looked solid and Lloris could have gone home early.
Then look at the bench, Friedel, Kaboul, Naughton, Sandro, Lamela, Holtby and Defoe,,,,,,,,,,,not even mentioning Chiriches, Capoue Chadli, Lennon. That is strength in depth for me. Let's not forget Adebayor as well lol.
We've only let in one goal this season as well,,,,,,which bodes well for the rest of the season as well.
Conclusion as I said pre-season, we're on for a very special season.

we look more like a team now instead of just hoping bale will do something.

danny rose was amazing also erikson is what we been missing.

we still got so many players to come back.

how refersing to buy a 21 year old and to give him a chance in the first team instead of loaning them out.

harry would loan him out to a championship team to get experience lol

    anway nice post jim.

Certainly the signs are there that we are developing. It was a comfertable win. There will be many harder games this season but you can only take on the opposistion in each game as it comes and I felt we bossed & controlled Norwich (no insult meant) from start to finish . . . .
