Lought.

Some of you may not like what I am posting here but I am sure you will understand.

Due to Loughts continued trolling on this forum I have taken the decision to remove him from the forum in the best interests of the posters left on this forum. I feel it is because of his trolling that we have lost so many good posters. It was not a decision I took lightly but have been mulling it over for some time. Hopefully we can get back to some good posting and hopefully attract some old posters back as well as attracting new ones. I am sorry it has come to this but I felt action had to be taken before the forum disappeared. As it happens I feel a lot of damage has been done I just hope it isn't irreparable. I shall continue to post on here. Happy Posting.

Baz and everybody interested

I am not taking sides but I would say to Baz and Lou and whoever is interested, this is really tragic because the forum is supposed to allow members to air their views. It is a pity that personalities should get in the way of such a fantastic Spurs forum e exactly what happened to the old AOL message board. I hope all concerned will be man enough to forget and forgive. Remember we are all supporting the same team

Right, this is going to be my last say on this to anybody who is still viewing this forum. Phillip, it wasn't for having opinions that Lought got banned. It was for blatantly hijacking threads. He hijacked the Defoe thread on here by bringing up Adebayour as a comparison to Defoe. That was a tribute thread for all that Defoe has done for the club. It wasn't about Adebayour. What he should have done is start a separate thread on Adebayour but no, he decided to wreck yet another thread. It wasn't the first time he had done this sort of thing and he had been warned many times before to stick to the thread in question but time and again he flouted the back on thread warnings. Lought has got himself banned from some facebook groups too, so can we all be wrong? I hope decent posters will come back and start posting again.

Although I said goodbye the other week if he's gone for good then I will be happy to start posting again.

I just got fed up with his hijacking of posts as you said Baz and the constant drivel he came out with. I wasn't enjoying it anymore.

I hope you are right and a lot of the past guys come back it always used to be a friendly but open forum for debate.

I go away for a weekend and when I come back it all seems to have blown up, can't leave you blokes alone for 5 minutes lol.

Must admit it was pretty threadbare on here and if, as seems to be the case, people were not posting because of the hijacking of posts it seems reasonaable to cut out the hijacker.

I must admit, the cut & paste about Defoe was out of order when everybody was expressing a thanks to a long serving player, even though at one time or another we had all expressed doubts about him.

Anyway I'm still here.

I would just like to say that I am gutted that Lought is no longer allowed to post. How many times have any of us responded to a post on a particular subject only to get side tracked and going on to another subject, I have done it, someone has been talking about a certain player or manager and I have responded by posting about players or managers from the past. As for saying that Lought is responsible for the loss of posters, myself, Seebee and others have still continued to post even when Lought was posting and I think it unfair he is being held responsible for those that left the board, they left because they wanted to leave, they did not have to respond to Lought if they did not wish to do so. Very sad imo.

Baz, do you remember who the posters were when you first set up the Bill Nicholson Forum?. I came along at a later date. If I am right, we had quite a few, we had Lew, Legend, Lobo, the Lady poster who I believe lived in Southend, Lee Roper and others who I am afraid have slipped my mind, it was a great board. Now I am not taking sides mate as I have a great deal of respect for all the posters on the board and have no wish to fall out with anyone, but, I believe that some of these posters left the board way before the problems you have had with Lought and I can not see him being the reason for there leaving, they did not have to reply to his post or get sucked into a argument, just let it go over there heads. What has happened to these posters who contributed so much to the forum Baz and do you think they will return to the board?, I hope they do, but if they don't then it looks as though we have lost another poster in Lought.

True Len, posters leave for a variety of reasons. But I do know a fair dew left because they got fed up with Lought. It isn't teally about not answering Lougt Len. It's what they see and the drivel they had to wade through to get to a decent post. As I said Len there are many forums on the net that would have reacted a lot sooner than I did.
