...... last friday a little 11 year old girl was knocked down on her bike and killed at the bottom of my street, today was her funeral big white and pink carridge pulled by 2 big white horses, and some of the locals have just sent up hundreds of pink balloons and lanterns. Think their is a petition going round to get traffic lights at the juction where the accident took place. Very very sad what a waste of a life so young!!!

So sad Lee. Convey our condolences if you get the chance. It is one of those instances we all dread happening. You never expect or want any of your children to die before you do. RIP little one. My thoughts are with you and your family. xxx

Awful thing Lee. The death of any child is a tragic event.

I know you carnt wrap them in cotton wool forever or watch them 24/7, but i carnt bear too let shorty out my sight for 2 seconds lately!!!

You do have to cut the apron strings mate. But it's tricky. My lad is 12 and some days gets the train to school or home or both and wants to be out with his mates and stuff and you do have to trust they are are wise enough to deal with the big, wicked world, but even so I worry till he's home and know damn well as he gets older it will become more worrisome. The joys of parenthood eh ? Wouldn't change it for nowt Lee . . . . .
