    FERGIE UNCONVINCED BY SPURS.

Sir Alex Ferguson claims Tottenham Hotspur lack staying power in the race for the Premier League title.

The Manchester United boss believes the distractions of the UEFA
Champions League, which restarts in February, will prove Tottenham's
downfall in their attempts to be crowned league champions for the first
time in 50 years.Spurs are currently sitting in fourth spot, just
eight points behind United ahead of their much anticipated clash at
    White Hart Lane on Sunday.

    Test

    "The big test for
Tottenham will be whether they can combine all the different fixtures
they have when the Champions League starts up again in February,"
Ferguson said."If they're still figuring in the Champions League
in March, then combining that with the Premier League and FA Cup will be
the big test for this Tottenham team."I think this is the first
time, certainly in my time at United, where we have gone to White Hart
Lane with Spurs challenging for the championship."That is a
measure of their change in fortune under Harry. He has done a fantastic
job there and Spurs have some really exciting players there now."Obviously
the development of Spurs is an interesting one because I can't remember
ever taking United to the Lane with Tottenham challenging for the
league. I don't think I have ever done that."

    Belief

    United
are yet to taste defeat this season after 20 games and Ferguson
reiterated his own belief that United will not go the entire season
undefeated which would emulate the Arsenal 'Invincibles' side.Harry
Redknapp has already questioned whether United can emulate the Gunners
team of 2004 and Ferguson is in full agreement with the Spurs boss."I
don't think there is anything exceptional in that comment, I think
Harry is just echoing what we've been saying all along. There will be a
blip and how you handle that blip that is important."As long as it is not on Sunday if you could please tell Harry that."

Makes you laugh. Ole Red Nose is legally bound to talk after games with the BBC but refuses to do so because they questioned his son's integrity. Fair do's sticking up for your family but the Premier League haven't got the cojones to do anything about it. Then you see him use other meeja sources to peddle his 'mind-games. Gotta say he is a master at it and you know that when he does it it is because he is worried . . . . . .
