    ... with all this talk about our strike force very little has been said about our last line of defence, Mr Gomes, now am not having a pop here because some of the saves he has pulled off this season have been fantastic and the games he has kept us in and won us (namely Arsenal) but its the silly things like dropped catches and the daft goals like chelsea and Bolton on Saturday. Its as if he switches off for a second and bang we've conceded a goal. I always seem nervous when i see him come for a cross or run to clear a pass back affraid

    I know what you mean , i always hold my breath on corners thinking is he gonna catch it or punch it, but in saying that i think he makes more world class saves than errors , i know it was stupid goal but when i think back to robbo he was always making mistakes, for now we dont have anyone better than gomes

    gomez form has been up and down this season. he also had hes best game aganst bolton. hes still better then robbo was in hes last 2 seasons plus hes still young for a goalie
