What do you think Empty What do you think

This is not a Jol post but, going back to the 2005-06 season, at this stage of the season we had played 28, won 13, drawn 10 and lost 5, scored 40 against 26, point's 49. This season, played 28, won 13, drawn 9, lost 6, scored 41 against 34, point's 48. I believe Jol had a far better defence back then although I would say imo Robinson was on par with Gomes, but the rest, Stalteri, Lee, Carrick, King, and Dawson were better than our present defence imo. Do you think that had Jol had VDV, Bale and Modric in his squad he could have finished much higher than 5th, and also would we be in a better position under Harry, say third, if he had Stalteri, Lee, who I must say I liked very much, very underated, Carrick, and King playing every week alongside Dawson. Jol also had Keane in attack scoring 16, Defoe 9, and Mido 11.

good post len, must say i did like lee in defence because of his runs forward, good defender. not to keen on stalteri myself apart from his winning goal for us against the spammers made him a sort of legend.dont think carrick was in defence.jol took us as far as he could , i love the guy but think harry has the edge over him.

if i wrote this thread certan posters would be moaning about it lol

    anyway intresting stats there

i think teams attack more these days wheres back then there was not as many good teams.

although i dont think we thrashed anyone this season. have we scored 4 goals in a league game. in fact i cant remember the last time we won by 2 clear goals..

last season we thrashed a few teams and scored more.

this season if it was not for bale vdv and pav our goalscoring recoreds wouuld be relegation stats.
4 league goals from our 2 main strikers with only 9 games left is really bad.

The problem with these type of questions, as good and as thought provoking as it is. Is that it is hyperphetical and hyperphetical questions nearly always get an hyperphetical answer.

My answer, is, It was, what it was then and it is, what it is now.
There are to many if's and but's for a clear answer.

this season if it was not for bale vdv and pav

what do you mean, if it wernt for them, they play for Spurs and if they score goals they count.

so if it wernt for Nani or if it wernt for Lampard, he fact is Lought, if a player scores a goal for his club, then he scores a goal, what do you think we bought these players for, to make the tea?

But Lens post had a point and he didnt knock anyone, did you see why you get negative comments on some of your posts?

defoe is there to score goals yet struggling to get them.

did you know pav is our top striker in 2010 and 2011.

yet he hardly got any starts in 2010. its good to see harry now playing him.
