One that got away!

Sorry to hear that Wickham has gone to Sunderland. I really think this boy is going to be good and the fact that we have been interested in him for a couple of seasons now I'm dissapointed we let this one slip by.Especially as he said at the end of January that he wanted to join us.

I know we were the first to put a bid in but we were either to late again or Levy has more important things on his mind than buying players, like the Olympic stadium.

If we can't buy top established names because we don't have the money or they don't want to join us then players like Wickham or the young guy from Southampton who looks like going to Arsenal are who we should be looking at for the future. As long as we don't make them a top player then sell them on.

I'm sure in a couple of years he will have outgrown Sunderland and will move on for £30 mil. I think his potential is that good.

I agree Mikey, i would of loved to see Conner at Spurs. i realy think he is a missed opertunity.

And he only went for 8 mil....with add ons of course....in todays market a snip in my book.
