Sandro predicts rapid return from injury


Tottenham midfielder Sandro has played down fears he faces three months on the sidelines with a knee injury.

The 22-year-old withdrew from Brazil’s Copa America squad after tearing the cartilage in his left knee, and an official statement from Spurs on Friday claimed he had been advised a three month rehabilitation period by specialists following surgery.

But on his official Twitter account he has claimed he will be back within one month saying: “Hi guys. I'm tired of sitting by putting ice on my knee. but I'm getting better .. lol lol come on you spurs...

“Spurs fans in the one month I'll be back to "fight" again.... not 3 months. I promise i'ii go back in 1 month. come on you spurs” [SIC]
