Just a little bit of info. Hearts or Heart of Midlothian, founded 1874, Ground, Tynecastle Stadium, capacity, 17,420 ( I can't see us getting many tickets for this one in the away leg), nickname's, The Maroons, The Jam Tarts,(I suppose that derives from The Queen of Hearts) and the Jambos. They have a new manager, a Paulo Sergio Bento Brito. The last time they were Scottish League Champions was the 1959-60 season when Dave McKay was playing for them. I believe it was shortly after this that Dave joined us. I wonder who he will be cheering on?, surely it must be us but it will probably be a bit of an emotional game for him to watch.

Tell you what guys this a game we could have done with-out. Given the "Auld Enemy" edge to it it could be a sterner test than we wanted this early in the season. Mind tho' a convincing victory could be a fine way to start the season, instilling us with confidence and swagger.
Just as an aside what the f*ck kind of Mickey Mouse competition is this when we, as the EPL's highest placed finisher for this trophy, have to contest a play-off match ? Load of bollox if you ask me. We should have been fast-tracked & seeded to the group stages as a matter of decency, fair play, need & right. LOL after the glory & amazement we bought to the Chumps League last season I bet UEFA want us there desperately to add a bit of style & panache to this competition . . . . .
