Jake Livermore was asked what it felt like to score against the best team in the world after a friendly against Barcelona.

    His response:

"Score against the best team in the world? I play for them."

I'm not yet convinced about him against a better opponent but in these home games against teams that are unable to close us down higher up the field, he's more than adequate...

A disciplined performance , not trying difficult things to impress , kept it simple ...

    Well done Jake!

Arnie, Fellaini's a beast of a man and he kept him quiet and they packed midfield, so I dont Jake will come up against a better more
organised midfield then Evertons last night.

He was everywhere and has a little bit extra on the pace front, him just training and watching Parker has brought his game on no end,
by the time we get Caulker back next season, we will have a great mixture of youth that also has a good deal of prem experience, happy days.

Dave , I agree he did a good job for us against Everton but he wasn't pressured on the ball ... Its the away games like at Newcastle and when he came on recently at Swansea, where the opponent is pressing our possession is when he's really tested ...

I've seen plenty of comments eulogizing Jake's performances these past few days against Cheltenham and now Everton ...

I'm just trying to view his play in the context of the opponent .... But he's done what was asked of him , he's done good....
