Berbatov, back at Spurs? Empty Berbatov, back at Spurs?

Sir Alex Ferguson is set to cut his losses on £30.75million flop Dimitar Berbatov and sell him for a knockdown £5million, reports The Sun.

Although Berba shared the Golden Boot with Carlos Tevez last season, he has never held down a regular first team spot and his goals have tended to come in bursts. With the likes of Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez breaking through the United ranks, the Bulgarian has become a fixture of the United bench.

He was even left out of last season’s Champions League Final squad.

Berbatov has a strike rate of approximately one goal every three games for the Old Trafford side (56 in 148) and is bound to attract interest from a number of big clubs across Europe.

At 31 there are still plenty of goals left in him and do not be surprised if Tottenham offer him the chance to resurrect his White Hart Lane career. But would Tottenham fans even remotely tolerate his return?

Well, the return of his Spurs strike partner Robbie Keane to The Lane
from Anfield was an unmitigated disaster, so the answer has to be a
    resounding… NO.

Funnily enough Baz I said awhile back I would see him back at The Lane. But only on a Free & only with a promise from him that he has learnt some humility. He was an outstanding striker for us until Ole Red Nose got him sulking & whatever sucsess he has had at ManUre he has never looked quite the player he did for us. My gut feeling is that he will go abroad though, possibly to Germany . . . . .

Further away from the lane the better, I can still smell the betrayal when I go there now. He's the forgotten man at man utd. Karma
