Cynic Sid would be well pleased with the above article. It's a brilliant read.

Good read Baz, I enjoyed it greatly. There is going to be split between fans, rightly so I feel. Yup Redknapp got two fours and a five. Great record. But you have to ask could a majority of "savvy" managers not have acheived the same with the squad we have? You also have to ask could a better manager then Redknapp acheived a damn sight more? It's a bold appointment giving AVB the job. Brave as well. This is Ing-Ger-Land and his so-called failings at Chelski (in 5th place remember when he was sacked, only a place below 4th ! ! !) will excite and galvanise the meeja. The one huge Sauron red eye of the meeja will be upon him, and probably be willing him to fail to sate their hideous desire of all things negative. It's a huge task. One I think he can conquer. He needs the support of the board, players & fans. He needs to be able to impose his style on all areas of the club. From the lil kids upwards. This is brave from Levy. If AVB fails Levy fails and we all recognise that Levy is nobody's mug. Exciting days ahead at The Lane . . . . .
