    Bee Swarm Empty Bee Swarm

Post by vis Wed Jul 25 2012, 08:09

I saw something at work today that I have never seen before. A vast swarm of bee's. Truely guys it was huge and the noise was awesome. Kinda made my day to behold such a sight. I have seen small swarms before but never one as big as this Fnah .

I was called and went to check, expecting waspies as I had to deal with 2 wasp nests yesterday. But nope the call was correct and it was the swarm of bees I had been told of. I was lucky enough that my offce was close enough to where they were 1st sighted that I was in time to witness it. As I said the noise was really something else. I followed the swarm as it moved across, and then off site. By the time I had got the video on my phone sorted they had blended into the tree/hedgeline that borders the site so it shows nothing clearly but you can hear the superb, bassy buzzing sound. After the event I thought to my-self, WOW I just got paid for being in the sunshine witnessing that. Nice . . . .

It truely was mate. According to my pest control guys and the beekeeper I spoke to it was probably a hive all lifted up at once and looking for a new hive/spot to plot up in. Nature is so cool sometimes . . . . .
