    Arsenal
first 3 games last season. 0-0 Newcastle away, 0-2 Liverpool home, 8-2
Manure away so, no win in first 3 games then. In fact 2 losses. PMSL.
Nothing for us to get too bothered about.

Wasn't that last season Baz ?

Get a grip Spuddies - three points at Reading will earn AVB a bit of breathing space and QPR at home presumably has to be a winnable game against the shower Hughes puts out. You have to bank at least four points out of six from those fixtures.

The alternative scenario is however too horrific to contemplate.

    Deluded GOON !!!

Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski believes the club can challenge for the Premier League title if they build on their good form and continue to perform like they did in their 2-0 victory over Liverpool.

    Arsenal
    first 3 games last season

thats what Baz said Nic, just drawing a parallel with this sudden panic that you are endorsing from the meeja, they didnt seem that bothered with you lot last season and when you had two blanks first two games this term.

When AVB departed Cheatski that were actually in a higher position in the league than dear old yes sir, 3 bags full sir Robbie Di Matteo ended up with.

    Alternative scenario, leave off.

Dave with respect old boy we already had this discussion when you were decrying the lack of goals from our new front men and I pointed out that in the preceding season we had equally zero goals and one fewer point.

Thereafter we struggled into October, losing a shocker at Ewood Park among others but followed that with a good run to Xmas

Given your enthusiasm for AFC in season 2011/2012 the other important early season fixtures you seem to have overlooked was a nasty CL qualifier against Udinese - if that result had gone the wrong way then the season may have panned out quite differently

But the CL qualifier was won

That is the difference Dave Wengers track record v AVBs lack of evidence

And? Which part about drawing a parallel don't you understand Nic? Shall I draw it for you.

? Which bit of the explanation did you not follow

    Ill try again

Wenger = track record of achievement steyching back over 16 years in the PL, pulls nuts out of fire again in domestic and European football - Credibilty 8/10

AVB = no track record of success other than in Portugal, lamentable failure domestically and in Europe with Chelsea, three poor results with Spuds
    Credibilty 2/10

and you have to EARN credibilty in a game in which success and failure are measured in terms of results

NB It does not matter a jot if AVB is a good or even a brilliant coach, has a great project in mind etc or is the most loved man in North London.

If he does not start chalking up points in bigger quantities than he has thus far, against teams that you fancy you should beat at home such as Norwich and WBA, then he is f*cked

Sigh........................ mate, try to follow. I was just pointing out that you got 1 point from your opening 3 games last season. It matters not a jot what credibility Wenger has got. In fact I couldn't give a toss. There is a parallel to be made on that fact alone. The a*se fans were beginning to get twitchy same as Spurs fans are with AVB the press were questioning whether Wenger had lost the plot. Of course there is a parallel to be made. Someone give him a nudge ffs.
