Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has dismissed the challenge of bitter rivals Tottenham by claiming they will not pose any problems for his club this season. He goes on to say we need a stadium and that he thinks the gooners can win the Premiership title bla bla bla. Is he related to you Nic?, seems more intrested in our club than his own. AVB should plaster this message round the Spurs changing room, and have a life size cardboard figure of Woody on the training ground and use his mouth for the goal, I think our shooting would improve no end.

I read that Len, I think he is desperate to get the fans back on side as they are heading for a big fall again this season and another with out a trophy. So he's talking it up large but he could be left looking a right pr*ck end of season.

I thought it was about £12M ? I seem to recall he paid some of it himself

Good player though - last year has been poor but have a lot of time for him

wish we would have got him to play up front with pav a while back, they know each others game.

In Euro 2008 they were great together - over here neither looked near as good - Arshavin played a lot but his confidence went and he never seemed to fully deal with the incessant physical demand of games

Decent players both though -I'd keep him rather than loan him out

yep ,i remember when he demolished liverpool at anfield in his first season with you i think, 3 or 4 was it he got ? i thought oh no you got a great one there but he did fizzle out.

i still think hes a good option to bring of the bench.

even in the euros he was great in the early rounds.
