The winger's 67th-minute strike at the Lane made it 26 matches without defeat when he has found the target.

The record goes back to his first Spurs goal against Birmingham City, a 2-0 win back in March, 2006 and includes goals in some memorable matches - the 2-1 win against Chelsea in November, 2006; the 5-1 win against Arsenal in the League Cup semi-final second leg in January, 2008 and his last-gasp equaliser in the 4-4 draw at the Emirates in October, 2008.
