    Actually Ardiles and Perryman IMO should've been backed by Alan Sugar. Do you want to debate why the sacking of Ardiles and Perryman was wrong and how their sacking hit the club long term?

    Joking or not. The answer is no. Ardiles had an appalling record as our Manager. If he had been in AVB's position as he is at the moment then he would have got more time but he wasn't. We were languishing in the bottom half of the table and as much as he was loved by the fans as a player he just wasn't cutting it as a manager. The board weren't a tolerant lot in them days and there was only one way that was going to end. All out attack with very little defensive qualities was never going to work and it didn't. The result was always going to be Ossie being shown the door.
