    Etienne Capoue Empty Etienne Capoue

It looks as though we are about to sign another midfielder, Etienne Capoue from Toulouse for a fee of £8.6 million. He is also wanted by Arsenal but his agent has stated he is about to sign for Spurs. Anyone know anything about this player?. I would like to know why we seem to be bringing in midfielders when we need to strengthen our forward line.

What’s most impressive about him, is his blend of intelligent game-reading, physicality, and an expansive passing-range: he really is quite a complete player for someone who very rarely gets mentioned in connection with the top clubs.”

Are we becoming Spain? No strikers just goal scoring midfielders? Be intresting . . . . . . .

Looks like the deal is done. Very versatile player who plays mostly as a DM, but can also play at CB. Very good buy and probably spells the end for Scott Parker

Weipa mate, the arse end of woop woop!

I've lurked a bit when I've been back but really didn't have much to add to what discussions there have been. I also didn't want to get involved with all the negativity I've seen on here. Not much fun when you've been away for a while only to get caught up in an argument, so I left it.

Have to say though that things seem to be coming together nicely at the moment though. Acquisitions are quality, Bale is staying (yes I went there), Kaboul and the Beast are back, Halilovic back on the radar and possibly Coentrao, Eriksson & Alderweireld to come. Even rumours on either Chirichic or Ilori.

    Truly a Carlsberg window.

Same as any other forum ion. I go on quite a few including SC and there really isn't much difference. Lots of people moaning about the club, the players and DL. I don't let it bother me. I have my views and everyone else has theirs. It's the way it is. Facebook is even worse. I just go with the flow lol.

i roam on a few other fourms aswell. vital spurs glory glory spurs ect

    anyway back to spurs.

thought the new boys looked good first half.
loads of passing to feet. some nice touches.
it looks to me like avb is buliding a team without bale.

all the new guys seem confident on the ball and like to play forward passes.

soldado look like a guy thats played for us for years.

im hearing ericsson wants to join spurs. now he is a good player.
also parker looks like hes going to qpr.

im really happy about parker going. i feel hes such a limited footballer. i would rather keep hudd because as we saw aganst man c. he can come off the bench and change a game.

    woo hoo

best to get new talent than to keep players who been with us years and struggle to get that elusive 4th spot.

NO EXCUSES THIS YEAR THIS TEAM IS UP THERE WITH THE TOP 4.

NO WE HAD TO "MANY INJURIES" OUT OF FORM ECT.

TIME TO PUT UP NOW TO MANY YEARS OF "WHAT IF "

We're nearly there. A left back and another striker and we can really be on our way. Like you say no excuses this time.

The only problem I see is that with the arrival of the new players it is going to take a while for the team to gel and that we could drop points while waiting for them to do so. I pray I am wrong but I think it is asking to much of them to settle in straight away and I for one do not expect to much from them this season although it would be great if they were an instant success.

You do have a very good point there Vis. I pray we bring in another striker. It seems to have become a bit quite on Ade's future, will he be staying?, and AVB has said he want's Defoe to stay although imo I can not see why as he is not a prolific goal scorer but who knows, with the new players around him they might bring out the best in him.
