It was on this day, the 23rd of October 2004 that the greatest manager this club has ever had passed away. For those of you that are interested, these are the achievements of Bill both as a player for Spurs and manager.
League Division One Champions 1951 and 1961, Runners up, 1952 and 1963.
    League Division Two Champions 1950.
    FA Cup winners, 1961, 1962, 1967.
    League Cup, 1971, 1973.
    Charity Shield winners, 1951, 1961, 1962, Shared in 1967.
    European Cup Winners Cup, 1963.
UEFA Cup Winners 1972 Runners up 1974.
After quitting Spurs Bill spent a year at West Ham as an adviser. When Keith Burkinshaw became Spurs manager in 1976, his first request was that Bill be brought back to Spurs as a consultant. Bill's knowledge was invaluable to Keith recommending players such as Graham Roberts, Tony Galvin, Gary Mabbutt and Glen Hoddle to him. Imo, Bill was Spurs, a true gentleman, and a legend. Rest in peace Bill, I for one will never forget those glory days we supporters had the pleasure to witness. Thank you.
