Kaboul or Corluka Empty Kaboul or Corluka

Post by djfitzo Wed Sep 15 2010, 19:18

Well after last nights performances and a couple Younis had at the back end of last season, should we convert Kaboul into a right back? Better crosser, better shot, faster, Charlie maybe ok when faced with a ponderous winger/midfielder, but Marin took him to the cleaners last night.
I thought Kaboul was excellant last night, the ball just skipped up off the wet turf for their second and Alemidas mis-control fell kindly to Marin, Charlie backs off and backs off and thats that, how many would have taken a point before the game?

Kaboul, Gallas, King, Ekotto, a backline whilst Dawson is out ?...... Also, cannot Bassong play at left back in a few games just to give Benny a gee up ?

Kaboul for me. Just so as I get to be a fat bas*ard eating 'umble pie as I slated him on his return. It's a pleasure to eat my 'umble pie and see this lad prove me wrong with (end of last season onwards) a steady show of good performences . . . . . . .

    Kaboul!

He was impressive at Portsmouth and is now looking better at Spurs.

This was the catalyst for my little tear up with Lew at the end of last season. I maintained then that Khaboul should be our first choice Right back and nothing has happened to change my mind on that.

Charlie needs to step down now as he really does look like the weak link on the right. A shame really as I genuinely like the guy.

Kaboul for me, Corluka is a decent player he's just a bit slow now and seem to constantly be caught out of position. maybe time to step down to the bench and be among the quality 2nd string we have to call upon!

Yep I agree with Lee and Ion. He needs to step down. He really looked off the pace against Bremen. The CL is tough enough without having weak links.

What do you do about left back? On his day Ekotto is as good as Clichy, but he really does believe his own hype sometimes and is far too casual, im sure Harry has spoken to him about it, but he was probably asleep standing up when he told him!! To try to bend a ball with the outside of his left foot down at left back position with 3 minutes to go was outrageous, if he could just cut those silly errors out we could have a world class left back on our hands.
