Redknapp tells young duo: 'Prove you're good enough to play for Spurs'

Harry Redknapp has challenged youngsters Danny Rose and John Bostock to show they are good enough to play for Tottenham.
Rose scored a wonder goal against Arsenal last season and many felt he would make a breakthrough into the first-team this season.
But with Redknapp bringing Rafael van der Vaart and Sandro into the club during the summer, Rose has fallen further down the pecking order and jumped at the chance to join Bristol City on loan.


Bostock was being talked about as one of the best young talents in England following his controversial move from Crystal Palace.
But he has also struggled to force his way into the Tottenham first-team and has also been allowed to drop down into the Championship with a loan move to Hull.
Redknapp is now hoping to see them regain their best form and prove to him that they are a worthy of a place in the Tottenham side when they return to White Hart Lane.
Redknapp said: “I want these players to show how good they are. They have to go there and be outstanding,"

Harrys no mug... he can see what they are like in training etc, but its one thing being great in training but they have to be able to do it on the pitch...

Harry is right...they have to start proving on the pitch.

EVENTUALLY YOUNG PROSPECTS WONT WANT TO COME TO SPURS BECAUSE THEY HARDLY EVER GET A CHANCE TO SHOW WHAT THEY CAN DO, ROSE PLAYED WELL IN ALL HIS CHANCES GIVEN AND ENDS UP FARMED OUT TO BRISTOL CITY . WHAT MORE COULD HE HAVE DONE. WHY KEEP BUYING THESE YOUNG TALENT IF YOU NEVER GIVE THEM A TRY. NOT ALL AT ONCE BUT NOW AND AGAIN MIGHT HELP. ROSE SHOULD HAVE BEEN KEPT AND USED ON OCCASIONS AS TONIGHT, AND ON THE BENCH FOR PREMIERSHIP GAMES

We cant expect a return on all our young player investment and some may even slip through our fingers and go on to be stars elsewhere but I understand where Shear is coming from on this ...

Having said that , we've not done to bad with the signing of young players, with the likes of , Bale, Dawson , Huddlestone, Ekotto , Jamie O'Hara if all sold tomorrow, would all bring a profit on our initial outlay ...
