Ledley King's future at Tottenham is in the balance.

Redknapp must decide whether to take King's name off the 25-strong squad list that must be submitted to the Premier League after the January window closes.

Injury-plagued defender King, 30, has only played seven times this season.

And Jonathan Woodgate is now training after a course of injections for chronic groin problems.

Redknapp said: "If the fitness coaches say it's going to be another couple of months for Ledley, it's going to be difficult because centre-back is a position we are well off in."

I agree with shear, yes ledders has been a loyal servant, and credit to the club we have stuck by him through thick and thin when most clubs would have got shot, but its time to draw a line under this .

I feel deeply sorry for the King but I agree. It's time to pension him off and get a settled back four. Long live the King.

I totally agree, Although i love seeing King play in a spurs shirt...it is now time for him to step aside....I think he could well go into our coaching side of things and maybe pass on what he knows to our younger players? He still would be a great servant to our side but in a different way !!!

The King is dead, long live the King. Maybe it's time 'arry employed him-self a new defensive coach ? Lad with the name of Ledley would fit the bill . . . . . .
