Just to add my bit, ferguson had the chance to sign torres before liverpool did, but didnt because of his injury record, yeah he has been a success at liverpool but has had his weeks on the sidelines through injury all the same, its a massive sum for spurs to pay, i would worry though because if he got crocked we would be back to square one.

Liverpool are desperate to get the deal done, so they cant afford to waste time with the medical, so eleventh hour they squeeze the last penny out of the Ruski, medicals already done and they can afford to pay Ajax.

Sky Sports' Guillem Balague says on Twitter that the deal to take Fernando Torres to Chelsea is done pending his medical. The fee is reported to be £50million.

Well thats scraping the barrel vis ! he has never realistically been a spurs target, only from comments made on here, i look at spurs transfer activity everyday and have never seen him mentioned by harry or levy, probably in their dreams.

I was simply comparing the two posts... mine was about a spurs decision on getting rid of an ex player, and marks was about a player we should go in for in the transfer window.
