Re: Match Thread Vs Manchester City
City boss Roberto Mancini will make a late call on whether Carlos Tevez will be involved as he battles to prove his fitness ahead of the FA Cup final.
They are boosted by the return of Gareth Barry and Micah Richards from hamstring injuries.
Tottenham's Gareth Bale ruptured ankle ligaments against Blackpool and has been ruled out for the season.
They are also sweating on the fitness of playmaker Luka Modric and striker Peter Crouch.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Manchester City
Doubtful: Tevez (hamstring), Zabaleta (unspecified)
Injured/unavailable: Boateng & M Johnson (both knee), Given (shoulder), K Toure (club suspension)
Tottenham
Doubtful: Crouch (back), Modric (hip)
Injured: Assou-Ekotto (hamstring), Bale & Huddlestone (both ankle), Hutton & Palacios (both knee), Khumalo (foot), King (groin), Woodgate (calf)
MATCH PREVIEW
Manchester City go into this match with the chance to exact sweet revenge over a Tottenham side whose famous win at the City of Manchester Stadium almost exactly a year ago denied them a Champions League spot.
Even if Roberto Mancini's side lose, they will still hold a three-point buffer over Spurs and are clear favourites to secure a first ever appearance in Europe's premier club competition next season.
And with the FA Cup final against Stoke looming on Saturday, this could be a truly momentous week in the history of the club.
As for Tottenham, the stagnation of their season continued at the weekend against Blackpool and manager Harry Redknapp admits the battle for fourth place has all but gone.
They face a fight with Liverpool, who they face at Anfield on Sunday, to reach the Europa League. But Redknapp readily admits it is a competition he is not keen for his team to compete in next season.

Re: Match Thread Vs Manchester City
Sadly this season we didn't really compete at all. It looks like 6th place but if we lose our last 2 games and Everton keep on winning it could even be 7th now that would be a disaster.
Moyes at Spurs could be a good shout. He's done wonders on no money. Look how he's got them to where they are now compared to a few months ago.

Re: Match Thread Vs Manchester City
As Arnie says we may find it hard to pick it up tonight but hopefully pride will make this happen.
Get into Citeh early & get into them hard, but fair, and let's wobble 'em. Should they lose to Stoke on Saturday (fingers crossed from me, C'Mon Stoke lol) that could have a similar effect on the last 2 games that the CC had on arsenil.
Still lots to play for all the while it is mathematically possible . . . . .
