With Steven Pienaar ineligible and Tottenham rarely beaten at Goodison Park, this threatens to be a daunting task for Everton...

Louis Saha has scored in each of the last two meetings between these two sides at Goodison Park, while an Everton player.
Tottenham have beaten Everton 19 times in Premier League history, more often than any other team apart from Man City (also 19).
Spurs have only lost on three of 19 visits to Goodison Park in the Premier League era.
However, the Londoners have not won on any of their last four visits (W0 D3 L1).
Louis Saha scored two goals in his last Premier League start against Everton at Goodison Park in a 4-3 win for Man Utd.
Jermain Defoe has scored more goals as a substitute than any other player in Premier League history, 19.
Defoe has scored the joint-most goals from outside the box of any player in the top flight since the start of last season (7, along with Wayne Rooney).
Everton have scored the highest percentage of second half goals in the Premier League (70%).
Tottenham have netted more goals in the opening 15 minutes of matches of any team in the top flight.
Everton have allowed their opponents fewer shots on target against them than any other team in the top flight this season (93).

everybody knows im not a defoe fan but hes banging them in this season and should be starting games.
if he is on the bench again then something not right.
theres no way vdv derserve to start above defoe.
i cant see harry playing 442 away or playing vdv on right aganst everton

    walker kaboul king ekotto
    kranker sandro parker modirc
    ade defoe

bale never has much joy aganst phil nevil and seeing as hes got a nock i use him as a sub. we cant afford him to get injurd

yeah harry saying defoe should get straight back in england squad, yet he hardly using him at spurs whats all that about. i was there last night and i think that ryan nelson is a bit slow at the back. also he was pointing and telling kaboul who to mark, while he was drifting away from his player lol kaboul gave him a look as if to say f*ck off do your job properly first. think he still thinks hes skipper at blackburn.

Saha was a free transfer - he is your player - he has a six month employment contract with Spuds - there are no grounds for any "agreement"

if harry agreed to not play saha only if we have no strikers fit then he should stick to it

anyway saha should only be on the bench

I agree with you Lought. I think that in law a verbal, gentlemens agreement, is binding. But for the sake of fair play & sport alone if it has been made then it should be adhered to . . . .

We need a positive response today after the last 2 league games. I would 'ope 'arry has really got the players up for this one and a statement of intent is made in this game . . . .
