Interesting reports in the meeja this morning to the effect AVB has withdrawn from talks with Spuds - not happy that with discussions about his appt at an apparently advanced stage that Dan is still courting other managers ( Blanc and Martinez named)

Anyone have any news on the new manager or is there a timescale Mr Levy is working to Capello for me would be a good choice !!!!!!

Whatever peoples opinion of Capello with England he was highly successful as a club manager

I have a very high opinion of Don Fabio as an England manager

Mind you after the McLaren era Big Sam would have been an improvement - but for Green's pathetic display against the US, the worst performance I have ever seen against Algeria and a wrongly chalked off goal who knows

I was listening to talk sport the other afternoon while I was out in the car coming back from an appointment in Reading. They had this Portuguese football reporter on and he was saying that AVB has such a big ego and that he will not listen or talk to players and the Chelsea players hated him. He went on to say that he has no people skills and believed that if he came to Spurs he would be gone in 6 months and would never get a top job again.

Now I have said on here already that I Personaly don't want him to come to us for the very reason this guy explained. However if he did come then as others have said I will back him and hope he makes a great success.

I would much rather have the other contender that has been mooted and that is Savinuign Blanc....I always like my wine dry.....He has done it at the highest level, getting Bordeux.....I'm getting p*ssed with all this wine....to the cup and league double and then picking up a demoralised French squad to a run of 22 games unbeaten. He has also been mentioned as Fergusons successor at Utd.
