We have reached agreement with Everton for the transfer of Steven Pienaar

In January of 2011, Tottenham bought winger Steven Pienaar from Everton for 3 million pounds. Exactly 18 months, 0 goals, and 10 appearances later, Daniel Levy sells Pienaar back to Everton for a 1.5 million pound profit.

    Brilliant bit of business
    18 months say £40k a week = £3 m

Take away your " profit" of £1.5 m

    Leaves £1.5 mil

    Ten starts

    £150,000 per referee's whistle

Nic you just love to P*ss on a parade dontcha? I would think that you with your in-depth knowledge of all things Spurs would realise that we loaned Pienaar back to Everton in January so therefore we only paid 12 months wages. Also your Spurs radar forgot to remind Minimus that he scored in a competitive Europa League game against Shamrock Rovers. In fact he made 18 appearences so back to ya slide rule me ole duck.
Oh missus your slip is showing . . . .

I also forgot to add on the employers NI contributions Vis

As for Everton paying Pienaar's full wage ?

Really - why is that then ?

Doubt it - perhaps some of it - perhaps none

As I say though Levy is a very shrewd banker

Because Pienaar went back on a loan deal Nic and if you use your Spurs radar you will research that the Toffees picked up the tab. Back to the slide rule me ole duck. Quack, quack . . . .
