Yep, I can only believe the hate comes from the fact that Dempsey is American, and not Spanish. or Dutch, or German, or Portuguese, or Belgian. Because we all know that the only decent footballers that come from America are Keepers for f*cks sake.

Oh, and for the billionth time, Dempsey is not a CM. Can he play there in a pinch? yes he can, because he is good enough to cover every Mid thru Forward position if necessary. He IS however a wide attacking player (perfect wide in a 4-3-3) and a Striker.

s the title says our strike force is alot stronger than some suggest.. let's just compare this

Emmanuel Adebayor - 18 goals 12 assists in all games last season
Jermain Defoe - 17 goals in all games last season
Clint Dempsey - 23 goals in all games last season

that plus if you add in the 2 other most goal threats


Gareth Bale - 12 goals in all last season
Gylfi Sigurðsson - 7 goals

I really dont think Dempsey is a AVB signing Levy again going to poundland for his buys not got anything against Dempsey just really wanted Moutinho we needed to replace Modders and we havnt done Dempsey more of a striker which we needed too Dembele more of a winger no creativity in the centre all we needed was Moutinho and the signings wwould of been great easy top 4 but with no creator hmmmmmm

I know we not replaced Modders, but at the same time, Man U or Chelsea dont have him either. Neither does the rest of the prem for that matter.
This is in many ways a new TH side and we will have to see how it all pans out for at least the first season, unless AVB turns out to be diar.

Lets just give it time to see how it all pans out.
