Have to say the 11 that went out on that pitch should have won 4 or 5. We just looked like a bunch of players more on holiday and having to play a pre-season friendly.
Can't blame AVB for that it was just a very unprofessional performance from the players. The likes of Bale seemed to play like they were above the game.
How we only got a point i do not know? To reminicent of the Norwich & WBA games for me.
But having said all that i'd rather a hick up there,,,,,, than against Villa on Sunday. So whinge over & on to the next game.

Spot on Jim I couldn't put it much better very frustrurating no blame apportioned to AVB at all he was really keen for the boys to do all just look at the line up. Yes Bale was really above himself shooting for glory when a simple pass would have done the trick.

I just hope the boys do not get tired for Sunday though

What AVB has to do is instil his enthusiasm for this competition into the players. He said he's taking it very seriously as it is an important tournament, yet the way the players seemed to approach Thursday with a negative attitude.

I think he did a lot to instil enthusiasm, you just have to read his comments before the match, I think the players have to bear all the blame

I don't see how professional athletes could be tired for game today. They have had a couple of days to recover and let's be honest they didn't exactly push themselves Thursday evening . . . .
