    England Ladies

Post by Guest on Fri Sep 11 2009, 08:19

Got beat 6-2. I will probably get called sexist for this but I cannot take womens footie serious. OK England where competeing for honours at the highest level of this area of sport and you can't knock that .. . . . . . BUT ???? To me the standard is no better than County League football. To stand in a pub with guys, whose football knowledge I respect, and have to listen to them try to talk up a final that, pretty much to me was meaningless, was tricky to say the least. To hear that England Ladies have some fine players was like hearing that Burton Albion have some good players. They aint going to be top of the Premier League in 4 years time ! Ok ok they done really well and if it was the guys that got beat like people would be torching Audis & BMW's . . . . . BUT ????? I have nothing against the ladies playing the game but please don't make me think it is anything like the male professional game & that I should appreciate the finer points of the style of play. As I said call me sexist but don't make me think it is the way of the future. Full credit to the girls but , maybe it's just me, this was like watching a Kent County Cup midweek game . . . . .
