Bale had a good game but always had a couple of markers on him, as did modric, in fact pompey just marked a few of our players to the hilt, the solution to this problem is having options, had lennon been on we could have switched play and had them all over the place, as it was they knew most of our attack would come down the left.

They didnt allow crouch any space at any time and pav and defoe had the same problem.

They played well but we could have won it ........the difference was the ref and a thing called luck.

I am thinking that arnie was right lee ! we should have made that 4th place our priority, we didnt need extra time before playing the diego,s and pierre,s.
