Seems more like a Levy buy rather than say, Fabiano....

Re: Loic Remy.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp watched Remy in France’s 2-1 loss to Norway on Wednesday night and is now reportedly set to pay the £13million required to secure his services.
Redknapp believes the fee is a bit rich but will pay up if Spurs can get further interest in selling either Peter Crouch or Robbie Keane.
Remy has been heavily linked with West Ham United and Stoke City as well as Liverpool to a lesser extent.

Only You Tube clips, I know, but I liked the look of this lad. Big, strong, agile and talented with a good eye for goal.
If there's any truth to this one then I'll watch it with interest. Put a guy like this up front with the kind of service that we provide .............................

Re: Loic Remy.
Maybe this guy is different maybe this is a new breed of French striker. It will be interesting to see how Chamark turns out at arsnic, at least I think he's French?
If we are looking to sign him I just think there are better alternatives around.

Re: Loic Remy.
Remy, who has held talks with Stoke, starred for Nice as he scored the decisive goal as they came from behind to defeat Lorient 2-1 on Saturday night, when Premier League scouts were understood to have been in France.
Marseille have also shown interest, but his representative, Frederic Guerra, believes that negotiations regarding the forward are likely to progress in the coming days and that England is a preferred destination.
Guerra told skysports.com: "Marseille are interested, but Loic still wants to move to England.
"I fully expect movement by the middle of next week."

Re: Loic Remy.
The most widely spread news concerning this is Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp discreetly watching from the stands, but Redknapp’s interest was not fazed as France (despite throwing a 1-0 lead) demonstrated a better display under new manager Laurent Blanc. In the early hours of this morning, Remy’s agent sent out the biggest hint yet, stating that the young striker would welcome a move to England. So with five different clubs to potentially choose from, just where would Remy be best off?
Tottenham?
At the moment White Hart Lane appears to be Remy’s most likely future hunting ground, but not the best choice he could make. Although Tottenham dominated in Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Manchester City, it was not so much profligacy which yielded a disappointing result, but the incorrigible form of City goalkeeper Joe Hart.
Despite this evidence of Tottenham’s frontline already showing its capabilities, Remy would add another dimension to the squad with his versatility since he is able to play on the wing and also in a central attacking midfield role. Although this destination is perhaps not the wisest move, there is no doubt that the opportunity to play Champions League football would be too much of a lure, especially in a squad he has a chance of making an appearance for.
Chelsea?
One look at the current Chelsea squad tells the rest of the Premier League all they need to know. Although Chelsea are rumoured to be showing an interest in Remy, it is difficult to predict what type of wood he prefers sitting on. On course the “wood” jibe is just a cliché since it is all leather chairs for the subs these days, but nothing beats the thrill of actually playing for the undisputed champions of England in front of 40,000 baying and flag waving fans.
There is perhaps one glimmer of hope for Remy should his fate lie at Chelsea, and that is the aging squad who will eventually have to be replaced. As such, Chelsea could be a long term option for the young Frenchman – but what club would want to be a patsy when he wants the inevitable “big money move”? After all, it is rumoured at least once in a half decent top flight player’s career…
Everton?
Absolutely perfect, but there’s a catch – Everton are nigh on penniless in the transfer market. West Ham United are refusing to pay more than £8m for once potent striker Ayegbeni Yakubu, and the impasse can only mean that Everton’s activity in the transfer market is all but over. Those with blue tinted spectacles who expect a (literally) last minute signing of Marouane Fellaini proportions should look at the fact that Everton have changed their approach in the transfer market now.
Evidently they have now opted for the quiet and early deal, as opposed to the thrashed out, much publicised and eventually hijacked deal with some panic buys in the final days. Given Everton’s tendency to buy low and sell high, the believed asking price of £13m for Remy is no doubt a long way off for Bill Kenwright’s well meaning but shallow pockets.
West Ham United?
If ever West Ham needed creativity in the middle of the park and up front, it is now. Avram Grant no doubt spent most of Saturday afternoon daydreaming of his days at Chelsea, as West Ham put in a display which lacked character up front and was nothing short of comical at the back. Although defence is evidently the area in dire need of improvement, Remy would have no trouble getting into a lineup which requires a great deal of plastic surgery.
Zavon Hines is injured and Franck Nouble has yet to fully blossom, as such, The Hammers have limited options overall up front. With bids for Yakubu repeatedly refuted by Everton, this could very well be West Ham’s last hurrah in the summer transfer market. The prospect of a partnership with fellow countryman Frederic Piquionne would also represent a pull factor for Remy.
Aston Villa?
With James Milner about to set off for the good ship Manchester City, Villa need a new wingman to try and pull the plug on the so called “Big Four”. Remy could be just the man Villa need, and are perhaps his best suitors at present. Although there are no problems (as yet) upfront for Villa, his aforementioned versatility will no doubt prove an advantage when the full impact of the Europa League on numbers and fitness becomes apparent.
Villa are a side for the future, and be it Kevin MacDonald or Diego Maradona in the hotseat, the side which blends Bulldog steel and continental flair must be nurtured in the right way to make genuine progress. At 23, Remy has both short and long term options at Villa, and should certainly make them his first choice in the event that they make a confirmed bid.

Re: Loic Remy.
Following speculation yesterday that Tottenham had made a £12million bid for the 23-year-old, Nice General Secretary Patrick Governatori denied that any bid had been received from Spurs and cast doubt on the prospects that Remy would move to the Premier League.
Governatori told French daily L’equipe, “We have received nothing. I also do not believe that a move for Loic to the Premier League will evolve next season.”
Remy was signed by Nice in 2008 and has flourished ever since. This summer, West Ham and Liverpool have both made unsuccessful bids for him and, although they were prepared to push the boat out for him, Remy turned down Stoke City. French champions Marseille are the latest side to be linked to Remy.
Harry Redknapp is said to have personally watched Remy and is thought to be keen to add to his attacking options as Tottenham prepare for a Champions League debut.

He said he wouldn't bring in a striker while we have four in the sqaud. Maybe Harry's having trouble gettting rid of Keane.
