Agree totally lought ! i was hoping lennon or modric might take the pen, my heart dropped when i heard jermaine was stepping up.

Defoe has missed 7 of his last 12 pens

least hes still got the bottle to want to, didnt see many wanting to take it from him.

I dont think Defoe is 100% still , and yea his penalty record dont make for good reading, the best pen taker i think is Keane

for 3 months, but with VDV's injury he stepped in and had the bottle to take it, sure his rusty,

thing is we dont really have a great pen taker in the team, well ok vdv is good under pressure but hes already missed a pen and so has Pav , pens i think are always 50 50 whether or not the goalie guesses which way to dive

it just winds me up when you see players taken the same pens. soft either side wich makes it 50/50 for the keeper. .

defoe always takes the same pens. always to hes left keeper right.
players should be docked money for missing a pen.

100k aweek an they cant score from 12 yards.

you need composure and to chip it hi then the goalie wont save it.

either that or take a jullian dicks pen lol

5 goals in how many games Lought? His started in three prem games this season, scored against young boys, got a hattrick for his country and was playing really well in the second game and then got injured, who knows how many he would have got had he not been crocked. His running and pace was one of the reasons for our second half comeback against Arsenal, sure his greedy, good strikers are. Any way his record since he returned

2009-2010 season = 24 goals


I'd rather have him then some of the names being bandied about in the press.
