Recent news from a leading Tottenham forum indicates that the main reason for a top striker not making an appearance at the Lane is due in no uncertain terms to an inability to focus on one particular player,and then to go all out in an attempt to seal the deal.A play which eventually lead to another top Premier league club stealing one of our targets from under our very nose,namely Luis Suarez.

Apparently we had been prepared to sign the player for twenty eight million Euros as opposed to the thirty five million earlier this year.And after sending Darren Eales our club representative out to speak to Ajax with a view to possible player plus cash deals we were told that it was to be a straight money deal only.Happily one which we could afford,wages and other personal terms were also acceptable.Only for Harry Redknapp to be unconvinced with said players quality at the price mentioned.With this we decided to wait and hopefully reduce the price further to a more acceptable twenty two million Euros.

With the player ready for a move to London and looking forward to Champions League football (though whether he would be eligable this season is unclear),everything seemed rosy in the lillywhite garden,however Liverpool were also involved in the chase for the Uruguayan hit man although only ever offering lower prices with Ryan Babel as a make weight though again Ajax stated it must be a money deal.

Then came the bolt from the blue,one which made the Liverpool board wake up and place a serious offer for the Ajax striker.With Chelsea offering forty million pounds for Fernando Torres and the player also showing an interest in the move to the current Premier League Champions our optimism suddenly took a turn for the worst.Here you must understand that Torres new about Chelsea’s interest after the Fulham game in midweek .We were then offered Luis again although at an increased price of around thirty million Euros,and this has led to Levy becoming angered with Harry for a lack of focus.

Now I realise that there is no evidence to substantiate these rumours and I would never ever ally myself to such a claim,so I’ll let you mull it over and make your own decisions.

Yeah i read that one the other day baz ! but harry didnt rate suarez, we would only have had a another expensive signing benched the way pav is because harry personally doesnt rate him.

I guess a manager has to have confidence in the players he wants........cant blame harry for that, i would be the same.

and yet harry rates defoe and crouch lol anybody should be scoring in our team with mordic lennon bale vdv setting them up

He likes crouch, because he bought him to the club, arry wont admit hes failing & so is defoe because that would look poor on harry after all they are his signings and both havent scored in the league in long long time, again though the chairmen has had to jump in a rescue this situation , redknapp was to rapped up in becks , defoe & crouch both should be dropped pav should be playing if arry wants to play a 451

Must be really seriously sore

he was on the bench yesterday but not used. harry kept the same team apart from sandro and claim that they are tired lol TIRED 1 game in 8 days.
