Harry has made a statement in the press again, that he expects a big season from Defoe. Setanta Sports put up the following:

"Jermain Defoe is being backed by Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp to bounce back from his injury problems and enjoy a 'big season'.

The 28-year-old England international was hampered with fitness problems throughout the course of last term which subsequently saw him score just four league goals for Spurs.

However, following a strong pre-season after working with a fitness coach in France, Redknapp is confident that Defoe will be firing on all cylinders for Spurs in this new campaign.

He told the Sunday People: "Jermain did not have the best time of things last season and had problems with injuries.

"He only scored four league goals and he is a 16-17 goal-a-season player, no question.

"But he has looked fit and he has looked really sharp in pre-season and a lot of that is down to his own efforts.

"He went over to France to see a fitness coach and that really does seem to have helped him a lot.

"I am looking for him to have a big season for Tottenham. He is really flying at the moment."

flying lol you gota love harrys qotes.
so that means harry will start him aganst man u then if hes really that good in training.

but no harry wil got 451 away at man u and give them to much respect like we always do and always lose.

its sad when you see teams like blackpool and west brom giving it a go and attacking man u and we just play the cautious game
